Hot Fudge Cake

Ingredients:

🍰 For the Cake:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🍫 For the Fudge Topping:

  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1¾ cups boiling water

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep the Oven & Dish

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9-inch square baking dish or similar-sized deep dish.

2. Make the Cake Batter

  • In a bowl, mix together:
    • Flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
